It wasn't just the Air Pad that made the Air Max stand out - the color was also something special for the time. Red and white were the Air Max and thus just the right extravagance for the music scene, in which they should quickly reach cult status.

The Air Max III, as the shoe has recently been rebranded after being known as the Chris Paul in the Nike Air Fear of God 1 Light Bone for a long time, is the third member of the Air Max line after the Air Max 87 and the Air Max Light.
